Step #1: Envision Your Wedding

Think about how you want your wedding to be.

What season will the wedding take place in?
How does religion come into play?
Step #2: Set Your Budget
Every wedding needs a tightly focused budget.
How much are you willing to spend on your wedding?
Where will most of that money being going?
Are you willing to go in debt and by how much?
I recommend you avoid debt. You should get as creative as possible to find away to fit things into a budget that you can deal with. Overspending will only cause problems for your marriage down the road.
Step #3: Select Your Attendants
The bigger the wedding the more attendants you often need.

Because your attendants are going to help you plan the wedding.
Small weddings will require less attendants. You may only need two of the wedding is very small.
The key thing here is for you to select the right people. They should be people you are close with, but also have the will and desire to help you out.
Step #4: Book Your Location
The problem with locations is that they can get booked well ahead of time. This is true for the most popular venues.
Think about where you want your ceremony and location, then start working out the details.
