Does this sound like common sense? There is more to it then meets the eye. Some shops will make it look like their dresses are marked down. For example, the sale price on the dress. $1000 dress for only $850. However, this might just be a sales ploy to get you to buy now. The same dress may be found at another shop for even less then $850.
So to get the best deal you should look at the price of the same dress at many different shops. This will give you a better idea of what that dress is really worth.
#2 Buy A Nice Dress
Any dress can be turned into a wedding gown. Go into a department store and see what is there for the taking. It might be an evening gown, it could be prom dress, or even a new years dress. Any of them can be turned into a suitable wedding gown.
#3 Different City, Country, Part Of Town
Some cities, neighborhoods, and even countries can be more expensive then others. For example, you might pay allot more for a gown in New York then you would some place else. You may want to consider traveling to a near by city to see if you can get prices for less. In some cases you will pay less by going to a near by country and benefit by the exchange rate.
#4 Shop At Smaller Shops
Some smaller shops can be cheaper then the larger ones. They don’t always have the upkeep or overhead of the larger stores. Sometimes you will get cheaper prices and other times you may simply get better service. You can find them in your local yellow pages.
#5 Call For Discounts
It’s not a bad idea to call different shops to see if they have any discounts currently going on. It’s not usual for them to try to get rid of their current stock for newer dresses. You could easily save yourself a couple hundred dollars.
