The wedding industry is always evolving. New things come along. New fads, new colors, new themes, and new styles. Sometimes old things become new once again.
Here are some of the top money saving trends your going to see over the next few years in wedding planning.
Trend #1: Couples Are Making Saving Money A Priority
The economy has finally gotten the attention of couples getting married and the wedding industry. Couples want to spend their money more carefully. They are worried about starting their marriage off in debt. Couples are going to have cheaper weddings, they are going to wait longer to get married, and they are going to save money before the wedding happens. It’s about time this has happened. Of course there will always be big spenders for wedding vendors to prey on.
Trend #2: Smaller Weddings
The easiest way to save has always been by cutting the guest list and having a smaller wedding. By doing so couples save money on just about every area of the wedding. A wedding that would of cost $20 000 will shrink closer to $5000 with a small guest list. You often get a better food this way too. It’s easier to afford an expensive meal with a guest list that is small.
Trend #3: Low Cost Destination Weddings
Destination weddings have always had some popularity. They are now growing in popularity because many couples want smaller weddings with the people they care about the most. They are taking off for a few days of fun with close family and friends. Couples may rent cottages, villas, go on cruises, and head to cheap locations.
Trend #4: Using The Internet To Save Money
Many couples are using the Internet and technology to save money. Couples are buying stuff online. They are searching for deals on eBay and using sites like craigslist to find low cost wedding vendors. Some brides are setting up wedding blogs (online journals) to keep track of their wedding planning. Many brides are using the Internet just to come up with wedding ideas.
Trend #5: Digital Wedding Photography
Wedding photography is very expensive. This has lots of couples searching for affordable alternatives. Many couples are order cheaper professional packages and doing the rest themselves. They are having their guests take pictures. They take those pictures and build wedding websites out of those pictures, they are making scrapbooks out of those pictures, and even digital scrapbooks.
Plan your fantasy wedding on a budget. Avoid wedding scams and get the lowest prices on every part of your wedding. It’s simple, it works, is stress free, and makes planning your wedding fun.

i prefer small budget wedding that will not put hole in your pocket.
the internet is indeed the right place to leverage on.
Great Blog. My Fiance and I have cut our wedding expenses in half just by following a few of these tips. My sister is a photographer so we had that covered, the only thing that we were having a problem with was where getting the prints. I wanted canvas, and that can be really pricey.
The good news is I found this canvas printer called EZ Canvas. I was able to get our engagement portrait printed onto an 8×10 canvas and it was FREE!!!! I did have to pay shipping, which wasn’t too bad. But that in itself saved us at least $40 or so.
To top it off they sent me an email letting me know it had been delivered to my front door, and then offered me a voucher for %50 off my next order.
So I’m totally taking advantage of this. We can get a really nice big canvas of one of our formals after the ceremony and it will actually be affordable!
Hope others can benefit from my post.
